What to expect
Here's exactly what happens, so you can stop wondering.
Working with a designer for the first time, or even just the first time with someone new, can feel like a giant leap! So here's what it actually looks like when we work together.

PHASE ONE
Learn about your biz.
Discovery Chat
A 30 minute conversation about where your biz is at now and where you’re looking to grow it. I’ll ask questions to better understand what you do, why you do it, and how I can best help you.
Questionnaire
If we’re a great fit, I’ll share a form with you to collect all the vital info needed to start your project off right. I love collecting info this way because you can fill it out whenever works best for you!
MY PROCESS
The L.E.M.O.N
Framework
Every project I do, whether it be branding or website, follows the L.E.M.O.N. framework. It’s my curated approach that makes sure every project comes out perfectly to meet your needs and support your goals.

PHASE TWO
Explore your positioning.
Audience Research
Using keyword search tools, social media, and exploring spaces where your audience hangs out, I’ll explore the problems your audience is facing and what kind of messaging and visuals they respond well to.
Competitor Analysis
Understanding what works well for your competitors and where they may be slacking will give us an edge to help you stand out from the noise in your industry.
Develop a Simple Strategy
Using the data collected, I’ll craft a curated brand or web strategy that will clarify your positioning, help you connect with your customers, and make them remember you.

PHASE THREE
Muse concepts.
Create Moodboards
Using pre-existing graphics, I’ll put together a collection of images that convey the overall aesthetic of the visual direction for the project.
Sample Brand Voice
If you don’t have prepared copy direction, I’ll write a sample of what your brand may sound like and a few possible headings or taglines, depending on your project type.
Align on Direction
We’ll meet to go over the concepts together and discuss what you feel does or doesn’t align well with your brand.

PHASE FOUR
Original creation.
Creation Phase
I’ll build out your project starting at the most crucial piece first and check in with you for feedback after each milestone is ready to review.

A Timeline Built
Around Your Schedule
These are average project timelines and they can vary based on review times. Before we start, we'll agree on a timeline that fits around your life, not just your launch date. I don’t want you to feel rushed or locked into a specific timeline because I know life happens and sometimes you need to pause things for a week. However, if you’re available to communicate quickly throughout the project, it can reduce the typical timeline.
Collab is Easy-Peasy
Lemon-Squeezy
Your job is to show up to our calls, fill out the questionnaire honestly, and tell me what feels right and what doesn't. That's it.
You don't need to know all the jargon, you don't need to have a clear vision going in, & you definitely don't need to spend your evenings doing homework.
That's what you're paying me for.

Still got questions rattling around?
Good, that means you're thinking
seriously about this.
HERE ARE THE ONES I HEAR MOST OFTEN
That's okay! That's exactly what the concept phase is for. I don't expect you to fall in love with every idea immediately. I'll ask for honest feedback about what feels right, what doesn't, and why. Together, we'll refine the direction until it feels like a natural fit for your business and your goals.
You don't have to. Most of my clients come to me with a vision that's more of a feeling than a finished idea. My job is to ask the right questions, uncover what makes your business unique, and turn that into a clear visual direction. You don't need the answers before we start, that's what the process is for.
As much as you can. The more context you provide, the better I can understand your perspective and make meaningful refinements. Instead of simply saying you like or dislike something, tell me what it makes you think or feel, what isn't working, or what you'd like your customers to experience instead. Honest, specific feedback helps us reach the best result together.
Absolutely. As ideas evolve, it's common to realize you'd like to add something along the way. If the new work falls outside the original project scope, I'll provide a clear quote before moving forward so there are no surprises. We'll make sure everything stays organized and on the same page.
Life and business happen. If you need extra time, just let me know as soon as possible. I'll do my best to adjust the timeline, though longer delays may affect my availability and project schedule. Keeping communication open helps us get back on track smoothly when you're ready.
Most communication happens through email so everything stays organized and easy to reference. If we need to talk through ideas in more detail, we'll schedule a call. I'll also keep you updated at each major milestone, so you'll always know what's happening next and when I'll need your input.
